Was a neighborhood tradition to get a cow each year, let the neighborhood feed and fatten him, then butcher and share. New home owner said absolutely not, and got Lucky out of there and he met other cows for the first time here.

Originally born in Montana. Was at a "small scale organic dairy" but developed mastitis so was no longer wanted there. The plan was to send her to slaughter and replace her with a new cow.
