Backstory
Born in litter of 13 at Tilden Little Farm in Berkeley, CA. Stepped on by mom at two days old and badly injured. Fostered by Sharona Kleinman, employee at TLF, during recovery. Sharona later contacted Charlie's Acres about finding Betty a permanent home.

Rancher purchased sow, not knowing she was pregnant. Eleven-year-old vegan kid prevailed upon rancher to let him find homes for the piglets, instead of selling them for slaughter. Placement facilitated by volunteer Shiki.

Found in park in southern CA, possible backyard butcher escapee. Farm Sanctuary rescued her, gave her medical attention, and brought her to UCD to be spayed. Tracy picked her up after surgery and brought her to Charlie's Acres.
